Learn or practice sketching and watercolour painting with Jon from Galerie JS.
Whether you want to learn to use watercolours, practice, improve your skills or gain confidence, I am sure this course will have something for you.
One afternoon a week for six weeks.
Make an art holiday of it!
A week's course (5 mornings) from Monday 25th August to Friday 29th August.
The one-week format has proved popular in the past as students remarked how it was nice to be immersed for a longer period of time.
A 7 day painting retreat based in Lalandusse, Lot-et-Garonne, with meals and accommodation included. This course will be conducted in English language.
You’ll be able to try out ways of drawing with different media and learn about proportion, perspective and watercolour painting.
Join me in Monflanquin, one the 'Most Beautiful Villages in France', for a couple of days or a full week - the choice is yours.
We'll get outdoors and paint the local villages and landscapes in watercolour. It's a great way of seeing the area, absorbing French culture and learning or practicing your painting skills.
About Jon
I believe that drawing and painting are skills that can be taught and that anyone can learn the basics of.
For the past eight years I have offered art classes in Monflanquin, helping many people to discover and develop their artistic skills.
As a professional artist and qualified teacher I’ll help you to understand proportion, perspective, light and shade and many other useful techniques to help you learn or develop as an artist.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, looking to return to art or would like to practise with a group, I hope my courses will be both helpful and enjoyable.
Classes are informal and light-hearted, with as much (or as little) help and guidance as you would like. Class numbers are kept small for this reason.
