Courses for Winter 2025
I'm offering two very different courses for winter '25.
They both run on the same day in the morning and afternoon.

Learn or practice watercolour painting with Jon from Galerie JS.
Whether you want to learn to use watercolours, practice, improve your skills or gain confidence, I am sure this course will have something for you.
One morning a week for six weeks.

A completely new course for Winter 2025.
Learn to paint various landscapes using acrylic paints. This course will take you through the basics of acrylic painting to produce landscape paintings in a variety of styles, adapted to acrylic media.
One afternoon a week for six weeks.

Or are you just in need for some space to create?
Drop-in sessions may be just what you’ve been looking for, providing you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in your own work.
Bring your own materials to work on your own projects with help and guidance on hand.
Maximum of 6 people per session by reservation.

About Jon
I believe that drawing and painting are skills that can be taught and that anyone can learn the basics of.
For the past eight years I have offered art classes in Monflanquin, helping many people to discover and develop their artistic skills.
As a professional artist and qualified teacher I’ll help you to understand proportion, perspective, light and shade and many other useful techniques to help you learn or develop as an artist.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, looking to return to art or would like to practise with a group, I hope my courses will be both helpful and enjoyable.
Classes are informal and light-hearted, with as much (or as little) help and guidance as you would like. Class numbers are kept small for this reason.
